In honor of its 60th anniversary, long-time hip-hop supporters Adidas will be launching their first ever U.S. TV advertising campaign and have employed Young Jeezy, Method Man, DMC, Missy Elliott and even Russell Simmons to star in them. The ads will begin airing this week and also feature celebs such as Kevin Garnett and David Beckham mixed with the hip-hop stars. It’s nice to see Adidas stay close to their hip-hop ties after so many years since they teamed with Run D.M.C. back in the early 80’s.

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker)—New York Giants star wide receiver Plaxico Burress was released from the hospital Saturday, one day after he was accidentally shot in the leg.
It was unclear if Burress shot himself or was the victim of a shooting at a New York City nightclub, although multiple media outlets reported it was the former.
Burress was hospitalized with gunshot injuries Friday night that were not believed to be life-threatening. FOX Sports initially reported the incident.
The Giants released a statement on the condition of Burress, who was released from the hospital Saturday afternoon at approximately 2 p.m. EST, according to the team
“We are aware of the fact that Plaxico was involved in an apparent accidental shooting last night,” the statement said. “We have been in contact with Plaxico since shortly after the incident. Plaxico suffered a wound to his right thigh. Obviously, our primary concern is for Plaxico’s health and well-being.

Yo the worst part of this story is that Wicked ass Wal-Mart let people keep shopping. Dude was trying to make a extra legal buck. It may be safer on the corner....
NEW YORK (Reuters) - A man working for Wal-Mart was killed on Friday when a throng of shoppers surged into a Long Island, New York, store and physically broke down the doors, a police spokesman said.
The 34-year-old man was at the entrance of the Valley Stream Walmart store just after it opened at 5 a.m. local time and was knocked to the ground, the police report said.
The exact cause of death was still to be determined by a medical examiner.
Four shoppers, including a 28-year-old pregnant woman, were also taken to local hospitals for injuries sustained in the incident, police said.
Wal-Mart said it was saddened by the death of the man, who was working for a temporary employment agency serving the discount retailer, and by the injuries suffered by shoppers.

Biggie Warning live
Biggie - WARNING
Close friend of Notorious B.I.G., Damion Butler AKA D-Roc, is releasing a straight-to-DVD documentary about the life and times of Biggie in January 2009. Although the documentary, Biggie Small: Rap Phenomenon, has no connection to the 20th Century Fox biopic Notorious, D-Roc will be releasing at the same time as the movie to capitolize on the added publicity.
Stephen Bolles, an exec for the production company releasing the DVD told HipHop DX “[That film] is the Hollywood take on Biggie’s life, whereas [Biggie Small: Rap Phenomenon] is the raw footage; it’s like the two sides of a coin.” The straight-to-DVD comes out in stores on January 27, 2009. Check out the trailer here.
I hope that you are enjoying your day. I hope you are eating some good food with family. All i plan to do today is watching sports and eat way too much and sleep like a baby.

A Grammy Award-winning rapper and music producer originally sentenced to 14 years in prison for smuggling cocaine is one of 16 people receiving pardons or reduced sentences from President Bush.
John Edward Forte of North Brunswick, N.J., a graduate of the elite Phillips Exeter Academy prep school who later became a producer for the rap group The Fugees and released two albums on his own, was caught in 2000 at Newark International Airport with two briefcases filled with $1.4 million worth of liquid cocaine, according to court documents.
Forte, 33, a first-time offender, was convicted of possessing the 31 pounds of cocaine with intent to distribute and was sentenced to a minimum of 14 years at Fort Dix, N.J. (Forte's Web site)
With the commutation, Forte will be released Dec. 22, after serving just over seven years. He still faces five years of supervised probation.
Among vocal advocates on Forte's behalf have been singer Carly Simon, along with her son James, and Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah).

Kanye is getting his international gangster
Rap superstar Kanye West was arrested after an alleged run-in with a photographer outside a nightclub in Newcastle on Friday morning.
The rapper was arrested on suspicion of assault outside the Tup Tup Palace, reports Britain's Evening Chronicle.
"We can confirm that a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault following an incident at a Newcastle city center club in the early hours of this morning," said a Northumbria Police spokeswoman. "He was released without charge and no further action is being taken."
Earlier in the night, West performed a sold out show at the Metro Radio Arena as part of his Glow in the Dark world tour, according to People.com.
This is not the rap star's first clash with the paparazzi. In September, the "Love Lockdown" hitmaker was arrested for vandalism at the Los Angeles airport after allegedly damaging a photographer's camera.
We told you it was coming! Massachusetts voters have helped pass a bill to decriminalize possession of small amounts of marijuana, making getting caught with less than an ounce of pot punishable by a civil fine of $100. The change in the law means someone found carrying less than an once will not be reported to the state’s criminal history board.
I'm about to head to Grant Park to talk to everyone gathered there, but I wanted to write to you first.
We just made history.
And I don't want you to forget how we did it.
You made history every single day during this campaign -- every day you knocked on doors, made a donation, or talked to your family, friends, and neighbors about why you believe it's time for change.
I want to thank all of you who gave your time, talent, and passion to this campaign.
We have a lot of work to do to get our country back on track, and I'll be in touch soon about what comes next.
It was beautiful to see every age group at the poll. I had my 11 year old cousin in the booth with me when i voted today. I dont feel nervous we will see how i feel tomorrow , but if McCain steals it .......ITS TIME TO BURN SOMETHING....
