Another beautiful N.Y summer unfolds. I hope you party people have been outside enjoying the weather, i know i have. I take breaks sometimes , i don't write i just absorb life and see whats really worthwhile, and typing on a keyboard falls low on my totem priority totem pole, especially after a day at work staring at a computer. I enjoy my IPhone, its my little black girl. I always wondered who comes up with these things at apple? Who makes me crave those apps so bad? I imagine all of the Ooompaloompahs' working at apple then at night scurrying into there little cubby holes and playing with pixie dust to create the next app or new iPhone these apple fairy's work really hard at what they do... then i stumbled across this article and i don't know if i need a new iPhone this bad







A 25-year-old man reportedly committed suicide after an iPhone prototype he was responsible for went missing, leading to alleged "unbearable interrogation techniques" in the ensuing investigation, according to a Chinese publication.

As first reported by ND Daily, the man, Sun Danyong, reportedly had his property seized and was held in solitary confinement after one of 16 prototype iPhones he was responsible for went missing. The man jumped from a 12-story building last week.

As translated by Shanghaiist, the man told his friends before his death that the security guards with Foxconn, the iPhone manufacturing company, had laid hands on him. Chinese media reported that the missing device was a new "4G" iPhone.

In the wake of the incident, officials from Foxconn issued a statement that included an apology. According to Shanghaiist, the section chief of the Central Security division "may have used "inappropriate interrogation methods" such as searching Sun"s house, holding Sun in solitary confinement and possibly beatings." In addition, a Foxconn spokesperson reportedly said the incident is an example of the company"s "internal management deficiencies."

Though the section chief has been suspended without pay, security officers who worked with him said it was unlikely that Sun was beaten.

Some, such as DigitalBeat, have taken to citing the incident as an example of the impact of Apple"s secretive nature. They conclude that there is great pressure on Foxconn to keep Apple"s secrets in order to retain their manufacturing contract.

"(Apple) uses the element of surprise to help build up excitement for its flashy product launches, helping to drive sales and its stock price higher," Eric Eldon writes. "In order to make that happen, Apple exerts immense pressure on its business partners help it maintain secrecy. The missing phone, some sort of new iPhone, has so far been nothing more than speculation among gadget sites."

It"s another story of trouble from China for Apple. Just last week, the company"s foreign factories came under fire, as a new investigation found that 45 of the 83 factories that built iPhones and iPods in 2008 weren"t paying valid overtime rates, and 23 weren"t even paying some of their workers China"s minimum wage.

Tuesday afternoon, Apple issued a response on the matter to CNet.

Apple is already prepared to blow Amazon and other e-book makers out of the water with one key weapon: iTunes. Having served more than 6 billion songs to date, the iTunes Store has flipped the music industry on its head. It also turned mobile software into a lucrative industry, as proven by the booming success of the iPhone’s App Store, which recently surpassed 1.5 billion downloads. Apple has yet to enter the e-book market, and making books as easy to download as music and iPhone apps is the logical next step.

What can Apple do better with e-books? Give iTunes users the ability to download individual chapters from e-books, priced between a few cents to a few bucks each. It would be similar to how you can currently download individual song tracks from an album. It might even have the same earthshaking potential to transform an entire industry by refocusing it on the content people actually want instead of the bundles that publishers want them to buy.

College students would love this: Teachers rarely assign an entire textbook, so they would save hundreds of dollars by downloading only a few chapters of each textbook.

As examples, the scientists pointed to a number of technologies as diverse as experimental medical systems that interact with patients to simulate empathy, and computer worms and viruses that defy extermination and could thus be said to have reached a “cockroach” stage of machine intelligence.

what a beautiful time that was had on saturday at the BYOB BBQ

Big shout out first and foremost to DALLAS PENN and Combat Jack these brothers came out of pocket when the sponsors fell through so i salute you two big dogs. On saturday i was involved with a NY bbq/party that had the vibe that has been missing for years. You may think i exhagerate but im not, it was a great time the food and drinks flowed, all night every dj ripped (Rob Swift , J.Period, R.P.M and i got to do what i love best emcee) there was live mceeing from Craig G and Charles hamilton. THE INTERNETS were in the house. Miss Info passed through, Nah Right was in the building plus a slew of of other bloggers.

This funkorama was held at the PNCRadio.com studios so it was fresh to death the smoke ws in the air and the vibes were correct the view was even better, sorry if you missed it hope to see you at the next one.
